Cartrack - Service

This is my second review. The first one was sent on the 19th of August 2026. I was contacted by Thembelihle Nkosi who asked me to send the details of the technicians that came to inspect my vehicle on 8th August 2026 - the first ones that told me the car track device was draining power from my battery. I sent that to her and they arranged for, yet another technician come inspect my vehicle. James Kambiri was sent on the 25th of August 2026. Nearly 5 hours later he also told me that the device was draining power from my battery. Furthermore, he somehow disconnected the wiring that works my radio ad had to come back the next day and took another hour to sort that out. Then I get one call from Juante Steyn from the Head Office yesterday morning. I explained everything to him, and he was going to the higher ups and get back to me. While speaking to him, he constantly said that everything I told made sense so I was certain things were going to get sorted out but I got a call from him later in the day to tell me that Car track will not cancel my contract and that both their technicians that told me their device was draining power off my battery were to be reprimanded for giving me incorrect information. My question is how does car track employ staff that supposedly do not know how to do their jobs? So now I have 2 options - I am forced to maintain the contract with Car Track for a product that is clearly defective and the company aftersales service is horrid to say the least or pay a fee of R2600 for early cancellation - This is a really dishonest way of doing business. If there were no issues I would gladly continue with the contract, but this is not the case. I also received the below feedback via email from Thembelihle Nkosi yesterday. "Good day Mrs Moodley,

Thank you for your patience while the matter was being reviewed.

Kindly note that we have received feedback from the Technical Department, and unfortunately, the request for cancellation at no cost has been declined, as the matter was found not to be related to Cartrack.

You are welcome to have the vehicle inspected at a dealership and provide us with a report confirming that the issue is Cartrack-related. Once the report is received, we will be able to review the matter further and provide the necessary assistance." Why should I have to pay another company to confirm a fault on Car tracks device that 2 of their own technicians have already confirmed? I was paid a visit by a third technician this morning - Eugene who wanted to inspect my vehicle to establish what the fault is...to be honest I do not trust anyone from Car Track near my vehicle. Please can someone tell me how to resolve this situation fairly.
