Cartrack Rental Option? wrong product sold to me
A sales lady from Cartrack called me on the 12/01/2018 and advise me that Miway advised them to call me to install a cartrack unit, Before the call I was on another call with a Miway consultant and they advise me to have insurance through Miway I need a tracker and they have a company called Cartrack who could assist me with no fee to paid to install the tracker.
So I have cancelled my service with Miway and informed Cartrack, so now the fight starts because I need to pay a cancellation fee of R1700 .
I firstly point out to the agent Thatayaona Kgasi that I never received any service from Cartrack except the sms for my debit orders and a sms to say the unit is faulty I must bring the car so they can check the unit. I also explain that the power alert never service happened, so many times my battery was taken out when I installed music in my car no one called to see if everything is okay. With this in mind the unit never worked since been installed and no service could have been received through a faulty unit. Thatayaona explain to me that the unit was on Rental option and I requested the phone call conversation that I had with the sales Lady. After listening to the conversation I can clearly say that Mi-way force me to take a service with Cartrack with false information that I wont pay to install the unit and that Cartrack failed to inform me that the unit is on a Rental option contract. This means the service sold to me was with wrong information and I was made to believe that the option I chose didnt allow me to get power alert sms and high risk zone.
I will not pay a cancellation fee for a contract with a fualty unit with no service and I am not liable for any outstanding fees as your sms say in a event where you dont receive payment the car wont be track and is not covered.
