Cartrack - Not so for the New Customers!

I signed up on Cartrack recently. The process was quick and efficient. I got a call within a minute of requesting it on Facebook. Signing in was also easy with a friendly associate on the call. It was a real pleasure. Next day I got 5 calls all about scheduling installation of the device. Still happy and despite minor hiccups, I had the device successfully installed at their branch on a Saturday. There began my nightmare! On Monday morning, I woke up to an automated call from Cartrack about my car getting a battery removed. I quickly went to check out the car. I found the car intact but with an empty battery! I tried contacting Cartrack and really started getting the run-around. Everyone was transferring me to everyone else until I get to a dead-end! They really seem to have perfected the art of transferring over to the next unfortunate soul who has to bear the burden of trying to transfer you over to someone else! Not once did anyone want to take responsibility or answer my questions. Not only did this happen twice but a whole five times! I don't mind losing a couple of days work due to lack of transport. I also don't mind a couple of rands to have the battery recharged. What I really mind is having a killer device on my car that will drain whatever amount of battery power I will make available! And also having to sit and try to figure out a way out of the defective system on my own whilst the supposed "technicians" and "associates" are hiding somewhere in the comfort of their offices! Believe me, that wasn't the end of my troubles or woes with Cartrack. On the second night of my grounding, I got a charge on my account despite that the gentleman salesman promised me that the charge will go off on my selected date! What happened to honesty in business dealings nowadays! I really feel that I'm being shown the middle finger by Cartrack!

Reviewer Update
Hi there,

I'm back to square 1. Unit is causing my alarm and hazards to misbehave up to the point I can't even keep my car locked. I've tried calling several times with no success. I think this contract never worked out, you never delivered your side of the deal and I'm happy to cancel so that we are square. Under these circumstances, I don't believe that any mention of termination fees will be appropriate.

Regards,

Hemish
