Cartrack Is Abusing Debit Orders – Unauthorised Charges & Zero Accountability

Cartrack has repeatedly debited excessive and unauthorised amounts from my bank account on random days, sometimes multiple times a day, without consent or explanation. This is debit order abuse, plain and simple.

Their customer service is useless. Emails go unanswered, issues are never resolved, and the accounts department does absolutely nothing except make false promises.

What is truly outrageous is that when Cartrack refunds an unauthorised debit, they then invoice you for the refunded amount, effectively charging you again for their own wrongdoing. This is deceptive and *********.

Dealing with Cartrack has been exhausting, stressful, and financially disruptive. There is no transparency, no accountability, and no customer care.

⚠️ WARNING TO OTHERS: Do NOT sign up with Cartrack unless you are prepared to constantly monitor your bank account and fight to get your own money back.

Cartrack’s billing practices are unacceptable, and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Reviewer Update
Good day, Your response is noted. However, this matter is not new and should not require further “investigation,” as the facts and agreements are already on record.

I was informed that the issue of unauthorised debits on my account had been resolved. This was clearly not true. Your accounts department has continued to abuse the debit order authorisation on my account.

To date, I have still not received the second refund promised for the overcharges that occurred in December 2025.

In January 2026, it was expressly agreed and signed that the matter would be fully settled and that only R99 would be debited on the 1st of each month, effective 1 February 2026. Despite this:

  • R99 was debited on 31 January 2026, contrary to the agreed debit date.
  • A further debit was processed again on 1 February 2026, resulting in duplicate and unauthorised debits.
These actions are a direct breach of the written agreement and have caused avoidable bank charges and financial prejudice to me. Furthermore, I received repeated calls from your accounts department despite having clearly explained the agreed resolution on record. I was advised that tickets were logged; however, these appear to be meaningless, as no corrective action was taken. This pattern demonstrates a serious failure in internal controls and client account management. I hereby give formal notice that I am cancelling my contract with immediate effect. I will not tolerate further unauthorised debits or delays. I require the following without further delay:
  1. Immediate cessation of all debit orders on my account.
  2. Written confirmation that my contract has been cancelled and my account closed with a zero balance.

Should this matter not be fully resolved promptly, I will have no hesitation in escalating it to the relevant regulatory bodies and pursuing further remedies available to me. This serves as a final notice.
