Cartrack is a ****

I got a car track last year July. I tested the panic button 2 weeks ago and realized it's no longer working. I called car track and have just been told I have to pay for the repair service. How am I paying for repair for a device they installed and I know nothing about what makes it stop functioning.this company is taking advantage it's their device and they should be fixing it not I the customer
