Cartrack is a bunch of reap offs

My car was involved in an accident on 8th Dec 2018 and has since been written off. I called Cartrack to find out what the way forward is seeing as i no longer have a car and therefore no longer use their service, which, of cause, is something that i did not choose. Their response was that i should pay R1700 to cancel the service or continue with the contract. I DO NOT HAVE A CAR, what do they expect me to do with their device, wear it on my head? i did not choose to cancel their service, i no longer use it. as if the fact that when my car got towed they did not even bother to call me to find out what is going on with it. instead they kept sending me SMSes saying i should call them. i could have been kidnapped and my car ****** for all they knew, if that were the case then what? my car could have been long gone, maybe crossed the border even, and all they could do was send me an sms, weeks later, telling me to call them. this company is a reap off and see me do business with them again, kindly shoot me...
