Cartrack George - Ridiculous Service

I entered a three-year business contract with Cartrack in January 2021. In mid-2021, I sold the business and vehicle, and the Cartrack contract was to be transferred to the new owners by a lady called "Vanessa" at the George branch. Despite the transfer, I was later informed that payments had not been received from the new owners. I subsequently settled the arrears after being threatened with legal action. After multiple calls and communication with a Cartrack representative (Vanessa at the George branch), I was advised that a settlement amount would cancel the contract. I made the final settlement payment of R1,558.00 on 03/01/2024 as discussed with Vanessa, which was accepted as full and final settlement, with the understanding that the account was now closed. Current Issue: In October 2025 I received a SMS from Cartrack stating that I owe an additional R2,299 for arrears, with a note that if immediate payment is made, a 40% discount would apply before the matter is legally handed over. On 30 October 2025, I made contact with Cartrack and the Guy who answered the phone looked into my "Cancelled" account and confirmed that I was handed Over. He transfered me to Legal department — this time I spoke to a lady "Katlhego" from Viljoen Attorneys and explained the whole issue with her. She ensured me that she will look into this matter and come back to me. It is now three weeks later and still no response. This all came as a Huge surprise, since the account was already settled and cancelled in January 2024 by "Vanessa"? Please help as I don`t know what to do anymore ?
