Cartrack expensive cancellation fee

Hi I joined Cartrack in October 2020. In February 2021 sadly the car was written off. I called Cartrack to cancel the tracking device due to the latter.

Cartrack charged me a set cancellation fee of R2,650 or the balance of the remaining contract premiums, which ever is the lessor amount. On this case, I had to pay R2,650.00.

The fact here is that the car is written off. I am not moving to another tracking company. I feel Cartrack should have considered this fact. I thus lost my car and still need to pay for something I am not using anymore.

Needless to say I have learnt an expensive lesson and urge anyone out there to please be very very careful when signing up with Cartrack.
