Cartrack: Continued ******** Debits After Cancellation and Breach of Consent Order
I cancelled my vehicle tracking contract with Cartrack on 15 January 2025. Despite this, Cartrack has continued to debit my account up to the present day, with the most recent unauthorized deduction of R1,600 processed on 1 May 2026. Even after placing a stop payment with my bank, Cartrack's collections department bypassed this restriction by altering reference numbers to force the debits through. Furthermore, while they did eventually pay for the physical damage caused to my vehicle's ECU after a prolonged dispute, they refuse to compensate me for the resulting loss of income, which left my vehicle inoperable for a full month. Their continued billing, collection harassment, and refusal to refund these amounts are a direct breach of the National Consumer Tribunal (NCT) Consent Order of 25 March 2026. I have escalated this matter to the National Consumer Commission (NCC) and will not rest until my funds are fully refunded. Cartrack must honor the cancellation of January 2025 and settle the outstanding damages.
