Cartrack charges around R350 to renew a contract so that you can still be on the R150000 ****** recovery

I have been with Cartrack for over 5 years and upon doing my monthly tracker testing, I asked if everything is still in order on my account. Only to be told that I am converted to month-to-month contract and I no longer qualify for the up to R150000 vehicle recovery cover. And in order for me to qualify, I have to renew my contract and also pay an initiation/registration fee of around R350 again. And I am also told that my current contract is no longer covered and I will have to either upgrade or downgrade. If I didn’t call and ask, I was going to experience problems should my car be ****** and not recovered.
