CarTrack - BAD service!

The experience I had with this company has been just pathetic. The Nomusa I spoke to on 28/01/2026 is an example of an nightmare employee no company should have. When I called Cartrack, all I wanted to do was to change the debit order date because of the change in my salary date. This is something all the other companies I have accounts with managed to do with me with no problem at all. Ordinarily CarTrack deducts their premium on the last day of the month. This premium is for the cover of the following month, i.e. 31 January payment is for cover of February. Because I now get paid on the 3rd, my request was for them to shift the debit order to the 4th of February as there would be no money on 31st January. Please note that would be for the coverage of the month of February anyway! Instead of understanding my request like other companies EASILY did, Cartrack said they will go ahead and deduct on the 31st January (because it's late to change the debit order date), BUT they will deduct again on the 4th February (an amount that even has a "resubmission fee" that will be added to the premium). So a request to change the debit order date by just 3 days, has led to Cartrack seeking to deduct 2 times the premium for February, PLUS a "resubmission fee". They seem not to see any thing wrong with that. If they are this poor with something as straightforward as this, one wonders how effective they will be when a car is ****** or hijacked. They are absolutely pathetic!!!!

You are LYING about being apologetic! Your company actually saw an opportunity to RIG me through this request. Why would a simple thing of requesting to change a debit order date result in 3 debit orders within a space of 31 days? Why am I saying so one would ask? I mean going ahead with a deduction on 31 January, then seek to AGAIN deduct on 3 February (which is a date you were supposed to simply shift the 31 January debit order to), then again on 3 March you deduct another debit order! That means between the 31 January to 03 March, there would have been 3 debit orders! You guys are finding nothing odd about that! To make things even worse, you were planning to add a R59.99 for the February debit order which you had initially said it was impossible to do! So, LIKE I SAID ON MY LAST CALL, DO NOT GO AHEAD WITH THAT 3rd February debit order! All that is left now is for me to find myself another tracker company and leave ****** like yourselves! To those reading this, STAY AWAY FROM CARTRACK!!!!

As PROOF that INDEED CarTrack was LYING about being apologetic, this is what they have done now:
1. On 31 January 2026 they deducted the February installment of R294.99. This means that I was not in any arrears with the company!
2. On 04 February 2026, they deducted another R294.99. I don't know what this installment is for! This is despite that I withdrew the request since they said it was going to be impossible to move the 31 January installment by a few days to the 3rd of the month.
3. Again on the same 04 February 2026, they deducted another R353.99. I don't know for what!

So as things stand, Over the past 4 days, CarTrack has deducted R943.97 instead of just R294.99.
I am now waiting for their formal response, which I will use when filing a complaint to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman. This is because I am convinced that there was malice behind this action. The tone of their service attendants when you call says it all! Even if they would claim that there was not malice, the question would still be what kind of "error" is this? This company is a real ****mer and I will show them that they messed with the wrong client!

Just to give the public reading this review an update:
Yesterday, 07 February 2026, CarTrack emailed me a statement which shows those INCORRECT debit orders they processed on 04 February 2026. Just because there was no agreement on those amounts, I reversed those debit orders on my banking app.
Now they are saying I am in "Violation of the Terms and Conditions" because I am "in arrears for March 2026". Don't ask me how anyone can be in "arrears for March" on the 7th of February! It is the insanity that prevails in those CarTrack offices.
All that CarTrack has to do is to simply move the installment payment for March to 28 February. That would be the same as they did for the February installment, which was on 31 January! In essence, moving the March installment to 28 February would effectively set everything back to the old arrangement AS IT WAS SUPPOSED to be after they REFUSED my request. As a reminder: My request to them was to move the February installment which was scheduled for 31 January to 03 February, and then thereafter the one for March on 03 March, and so on! I never said I want to pay March installment on 03 February! They want to punish me because of an error by their employee!
