Cartrack - a truly unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons

Awesome to deal with when you are signing up, but then....

I sold my vehicle and requested the unit be removed and installed into my new vehicle once I get one. No problem - they will remove and keep the unit until I have a new car at a cost of R870.

After many WhatsApp chats (1 March), we eventually arrange for it to be removed on 2 March. They remove the unit on the Saturday and I receive the invoice that night although I only saw it when I got to work on the Monday.

Monday morning, 07h30'ish they phone wanting to know what payment arrangement can be made. I tell them I will look into it, but I am at work. Payment is then made by EFT on 4 March at 20h02.

Sure as ****it, I am phoned again on Tuesday morning (5 March - around 7h15). I inform them that it has been paid, and I email POP.

Wednesday I am called again (again at 07h15 ish). I ignore the phone call. At 11h04 I receive WhatsApp informing me that a debit order of R1005 (my R135 monthly installment + the R870) was returned unpaid. I phone, very irate. The accounts person confirms they have receive the POP. I respond on WhatsApp informing them they have incorrectly messaged me, and this really annoys their customers. They request proof of payment. I inform them again, that it has been mailed and received.

This morning (7 March) I discover a debit order has gone through for the random amount of R850 (not sure where that comes from or what it is for). And still no response on WhatsApp line.

I cannot believe the utter incompetence and cheek. Not only have they nagged about money they have, I am paying for service I cannot use and now they are deducting funds for who knows what.

I recommend everyone avoid this completely useless company.

It is a huge inconvenience and an apology from a bot is not acceptable.
Not only did I pay to have the device removed and kept by you until I receive my new vehicle, but you never even removed it. After being woken up at 4am with a phone call that the power has been lost on my vehicle (which I don't have) in Zimbabwe, I call and find out that it was never done. The response from you - "We will disconnect the device free of charge!" - IT IS NOT FREE - I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR THE SERVICE. No doubt I will also be receiving an invoice for the random Roaming Fees you are happy to invoice for.

Now I have the delight of paying to cancel the contract - a contract that you have failed to uphold. Added to that I must now provide proof of payment (AGAIN) for the R870 already paid, so that I can be refunded.

Rest assured I will make sure that everyone I speak to learns about the useless company that is Cartrack - and being involved in the motor industry, means a lot of people and companies will be made aware.
