Cartrack a danger for identity theft

I am very disappointed with Cartrack call centre and management. Every time they call me they ask for ID number. I repeatedly told them they must stop that practice as it pits their customers in danger of having their identities stole. Any person can call you and tell you that they are from cartrack and get your name, surname, ID number and adress. With this information a syndicate will have a field day opening accounts and creating huge problems. They say it is for verification purposes and POPIA act. They can use many other criteria that a syndicate can not use like, car make and model, adress, date of birth but, they insist on ID number. It seems Cartrack do not care about this danger. I hope this will get them to change their policies.
