Cancellation

My car burnt to ashes last year, to show that they were not even tracking my car I never received call from CarTrack about why my tracker was not working. I called them about a couple days after the incident to cancel the contract because the car was no longer... the told me about a cancellation fee even though I tried explaining that it’s not like I have a choice cause you are not tracking anything anymore but kept on telling me that I need to pay the Cancellation fee... now they are threatening me with lawyers.

How can one continue paying for a service that is no longer valid? What kind of Tracking company is this ?
