Bad Customer Service, Cartrack is merely hiding behind a policy that prejudices clients
I had a unit installed in 2017, a year later i changed my car and when i advised Cartrack of this they stated that i need to have te unit reinstalled at a fee of R800. I was astounded by this and adivsed them that i am not prepared to do that and logged a complaint. minutes later i was contacted and adivsed that they will cancel my old unit and install a new unit as my contract is for 3 years. I agreed to this and the installation was carroed out successfully. After 5 months i changed my car again and this timew i was told that there is nothing they can do as i will ave to pay for the Unit to be reinstalled.
What confuses me is that they say they will need to take the old unit and reinstall it, the car has already been onsold to a third party so how do they see this playing out? I am being charged a fee for changing my Car, what kind of limitation is this? more importantly how will tehy retrieve teh old unit when the car has already been sold?
This is just bad customer service as i am not terminating my contract, I merely changed my car and i am definately not prepared to pay R800 for a unit when i am already paying on a monthly basis
