CAROL1N CARS ****MED ME OUT OF 35K

I want to warn everyone to never buy a car from these guys. The owner Chris Carolin, posted a car dealership advert of a Toyota Tazz for sale, saying "contact for price" on Gumtree. We chatted and agreed to meet to view the car and when I got there, I realized it was his house. He advised me to deal with Eugene, so of course I was under the impression Eugene works for Chris. After negotiating the price we came to an agreement of 35k cash. I met Eugene at the Claremont police station and handed him the cash whilst receiving a proof of purchase invoice for the car, which is registered in my name. When en route to collect the vehicle from Chris' house as per the agreement, Chris denied receiving the funds deposited into his account from Eugene. He said he doesn't know Eugene and he assumes he posed as a broker and told me I "must have gotten ****med" by Eugene. Chris refuses to hand over the vehicle and keys and asked me to leave the property so he can go on holiday. He also mentioned that he'd put the vehicle back on his name(without my permission and without my signature)

I feel that both Chris and Eugene were in on this together as Chris appointed Eugene to sell the vehicle and now pretends to not know Eugene at all. I have made a case of ***** and theft at the police station
