Severe Burns Sustained

I am so disgusted in Carmen Elektra Comfort, I bought my mom an electric HOT water bottle and after a week of use she burnt her foot severely after it had been on her foot for 5-10 minutes. I contacted the company and they refuse to take responsibility for their product saying that because my mother is paralyzed we should warm up the bottle and then let it cool down before my mother uses the product which makes no sense because you buy the product to heat your cold body and now you have to cool it down first before use!!!!!????? what is the point then. They should put a warning saying that you need to cool it down if you have limited sensation or no sensation at all. But my question still remains, how can you burn as severely as my mother did in such a short period of time and this after she had been using it for a week and then all of a sudden she burns that way. I now have to take my mom to the doctor every third day to have her bandages tended to and to make sure she does not get infection. I am still in shock at how I was treated and then that they still suggest in a way that I continue using this product after the damage.
