My husband thinks I'm handsome :(

<p>We all make mistakes. Sadly, over the past 28 years, I've done many things that wished that I could take back. Today, however, I made a mistake of such monumental proportions that I can't bare to look at myself in the mirror; today I decided to get my hair cut at Carlton Hair, Cresta.</p> <p> </p> <p>I asked my husband whether I should include a picture of my new hairdo with this review. After a long and uncomfortable conversation, he finally told me that doing so would undoubtedly result in my becoming an Internet meme.</p> <p> </p> <p>Bottom line? The haircut that I received today makes my three-year-old self-cut look like a masterpiece. The amount of devastation that Bev unleashed upon my head is hard to believe. Surprisingly, the entire R340 hair-chop took less than nine minutes.</p> <p> </p> <p>In addition to utterly ***********, this "hairdresser" was terribly rude. Let me take you through a couple of the day's highlights:</p> <p> </p> <p>1. Public Reprimand<br />When I was five, I got scolded by my mum for wriggling in my chair while getting a haircut. Today, Bev made me feel right at home. When she was finishing off, around the five-minute mark, I shifted weight in my chair. Bev took this subtle movement as an opportunity to reprimand me loudly in the middle of the salon.</p> <p> </p> <p>2. Bad Attitude<br />At Carlton Hair, if you want the hairdresser to spend more than ten minutes on your cut, you need to pay for a blow dry, too. Bev very kindly informed me of this fact when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the result.</p> <p> </p> <p>Fortunately, I wasn't told this beforehand. When I look at the level of carnage that Bev wrought in ten minutes, I shudder to think about what I'd look like after a full hour.</p> <p> </p> <p>3. Disregard<br />Twice I asked Bev to leave my fringe alone as I have been growing it out for the last 6 months. Twice my request fell on deaf ears. She gave me no choice even after I told her explicitly not to cut it. Now, I am wearing a beanie in a desperate attempt to hide the gaping holes that exist where my fringe used to be.</p> <p> </p> <p>Time is the only thing that can undo the damage that was done today. However, I would like two things to help me through this difficult period:</p> <p> </p> <p>1. My money back.</p> <p>2. A chance to cut Bev's hair.</p>
