Monday I went to Carlton Sandton city for a simple root job to maintain my beautiful blond highlights. Trembling and shocked, I walked out 4 hours later with much of my hair left in the basin, after having been had my entire head shockingly bleached into sick shade of yellowish white, followed by so many processes to 'catch it back' and finally a horrible slap job of dull ashy grey highlights painted on angrily by Toni Gois the manager - the ''master'' I had booked for my roots. I have never looked worse for the wear. In 35 years of highlights and root job, never have I had such a botched job. It is frightening and I am heartbroken. The receptionist felt so bad for me she alerted the corporate office immediately and someone called to request photos and an explanation. Three days later after an email and a phone call I have yet to hear back. No apology. Nothing. It will take weeks for another salon to be able to even out the color without me losing more hair and my scalp to stop hurting, months for some of my hair to grow back and get better so that we can attempt to highlight again. Until then it looks like I am wearing the cheapest wig. I am embarrassed and defeated. I look older, harder than I have ever looked and infinitely worse than if I had attempted the colors with a bottle at home. It's a nightmare and i am truly sad beyond. Tony Gois is the manager at Carlton Sandton City. He did this. He never apologized and towards the end, knowing full well what he did, pursed his lips and proceeded to yank my already damaged hair to 'blow dry' it without a word. It was the most horrible experience of my 'hair' life
