Hair colour nightmare
I've been to Carlton for a hair colour and cut upon my appointment I've asked for a master as I struggle to get my hair to grow and have waited a long time to get it to a point where it can be redone I also can't colour to often as my hair breaks easily> My request was that the highlights will be clearly seen after the colour. My hair was done the hairdresser didn't check the colour before it was rinsed but thought it will be ok. In the Salon it looked ok and I left. When I got home in my house lighting the hair looked faded and dull. I decided to just leave it but won't go back. Carlton gave me a call to see if I was happy I explained not really as the colour looked washed out. They offered that I can come back and they'll have a look. A toner was put over my head and you could hardly see the highlights which I've asked for but the colour seemed a bit better so it is ok. I mentioned that I need to go within a certain time to see a client my hair was fingerdried thus I had to rush home to blow dry it. The only way to get my hair into shape is if I wash it which I've done and blowed it. I was furious. The colour washed out to 3 different types of reds. It looked like I tried to do it myself. I had shoots the next afternoon and it had to be fixed immediately. I contact another hairdresser who fixed it but my hair was broken to the roots with the second colour (or third if you want to include the toner) in such short period. But at least I didn't look like a christmas tree. I contacted the Salon in Pretoria and explained. But why would I go back as she said they will try to fix it again - for the third time really? Then I contacted Kim Wainer at head office no answer and send a mail. She didn't reply at all. I called again and send her a mail again as how do you just ignore a complaint email? She called me and said I had to go in so that they can see my new colour. I rep**** that I have shoots the whole week and they are really wasting my time as the Salon is not just around the corner.. We agreed that I send a photo of the colour which I did. Now they expect me to get a slip of payment to the new hairdresser and exactly a breakdown of what she did. Which business gives away their prices and detail to competitors? Kim said they would and that's protocol as I quote: " Having said that, Complaints are a fact and do occur and we therefore have a protocol in place to deal with these." therfore it seems that this is not the first complaint.... I also received emails from her in capitals and as I was obviously upset she was plain rude instead of calming me. The matter of the fact is why do they need the other Salon's info even if I didn't redo my hair they still messed up and by the way the "master hairdresser" also said the toner with the first colour wasn't left on long enough thus it wasn't a issue of different taste it was wrong... I think the service at the Salon itself is great although I won't colour there again especially at that price risking for my hair to be damaged again. But the way headoffice dealt with this is amazing. I had to follow up all the time no feedback, Kim being rude and them insisting and making demands. I won't EVER go there again as I gave them 2 chances and still I have to go back for a third time... Why on earth I am happy with my colour now I am definately not going to get another hairdresser to tell them how it should have been done
