Incompetence like never seen before

I payed to get my 4 vehicles renewed via the FNB app on October the 8th - that was 7 weeks ago.

While I understand that COVID is making life really tough for all and sundry my problem is not the delay. You see, I have a track bike (No lights, no plates - it's not road worthy) and it doesn't get a disk.

These guys either cannot comprehend what that means, or have a process so rigid that no one there can think for themselves.

For the last month, at least, we've gone through a loop of "You license is blocked due to: road worthy required" and me explaining, when I eventually get through to the call center that it just gets paid and there is no disc. Just to get the same "You license is blocked due to: road worthy required" sms a few days later

The service has been absolutely appalling - I will never use them again

Hi Riaan,

We here you and it makes perfect sense. However all vehicles registered the  on eNatis system  ( Governance of all vehicles in SA) require  to be road worthied. The only way this can be amended is by going in to the licencing department. Our team will contact you.

Hi Riaan,

The National Road Traffic Act requires every vehicle to be registered on the Natis system, even if used exclusively for off-road. Naturally, if a vehicle is required to be registered, a licence must be paid and roadworthy irrespective if the vehicle is to be used on or off the road.

"a licence must be paid and roadworthy irrespective if the vehicle is to be used on or off the road"

You just contradicted yourself there. ROAD worthy implies ROAD use.

I've had that track bike for 6 years and it's never need a roadworthy. So check your facts please

Please get Ronel to phone me, so we can arrange a refund. She asked for a day on Monday to sort it out, it's now Wednesday and not sorted out
