Carisma car hire Leigh you are a joke for an owner and got away with being rude to customers.

Made a booking at csrisma for a car on the 30th October booked it till the 6th November, liaised with Leigh McKay who sounded like such a professional business owner which was via email and telephonically prior to collecting the car. She sent through the quote on which obviously of I do agree about the price, I was mailed that I can pay in the amount of R1850 + R4000 on arrival. Only to be fooled, arrived on the 30th Oct and welcomed by one of her helpers who then gave us another price of almost R2500 instead of the original already quoted amount which I agreed on. I felt that he represented Carisma I needed answers as to why the amount has all of a sudden changed so drastically knowing that as it was within my budget. The guy then asked if he can call Leigh, which I agreed that he could and he handed me the phone to ask her why the price has all of a sudden changed. She did not even give me time to really explain why I was so upset instead she was shouting at me that I should of read the quote the fine print which was something I was supposed to have read the fine print the extras was never explained to me over our mails and calls. She just lashed out about the fine print on her quote and the more I was explaining to her that the amount on my quote is what she said I should pay the more she insisted about the fine print, that I didn't go through which obviously she could too give me some explanation about as to what is the extras but she never did. Too busy making money and treating the clients as if they are trash. She then out of her own accord decided instead of calming the situation she was at Makro with the time of call about the changed amount she arrived 10mins later on to shorten and inconveniencing me with my time frame of renting the car, but also because I wasn't the licensed driver, my husband was as I explained this to her at the time of booking. Only to find that I will have to pay R150x 2 for my husband being additional and myself who will not be driving the car at all I was only the credit card holder making the booking. Then on the day she asked if my husband can put the rental on his name in order to use his bank account and not pay in the extra R150 but it will cost a R65 per page for the new lease to be written up, she then told me she wants nothing to do with me she does not wish to speak to me as I am being 'rude' lol which was not even the case more irate and upset as I saw it. Felt like we were done in and still having such s@*t service with a business standing like she put it for 20 years. She asked my husband if she could deal with him she doesn't want to speak to me. They continued and she then gave him a date of having their car returned by the 2nd November as we only budgeted for the amount provided which she mailed to me. She was oblivious about all correspondence made no exception not even any apology. Now 4 days later after I called and mailed on the 5th November for my R4000 deposit she told yesterday she had just sent through to FNB a second request to have my monies released. Oh and also we were told to full up at the Caltex gas station in the front Parr of their business which we didn't ad on the date of returned they still had the nerve to ask for the petrol slip as of they can't see that you have filled up th tank. Please do not make use of their service. She brags about having customers for over 20 years and they are cheapest. Will not recommend this business to anyone.No red flags and loose ends with huge rental companies. Please be more compassionate and learn to be professional face to face not shot at people like they are dogs. Forgetting the the customers are their to support you and put food on your table
