Breach of service: Cargo Paw Movers, payment made no pick up. Contract changed last minutede, no pick up

I was fortunate enough to find a dog that I was looking for, for quite some time. The dog breeder was unfortunately 9-hours away. At first I was planning on getting into the car and driving the 9 hour trip, but on second thought I had an idea to use a pet courier service. Therefore I Google and found Cargo Pet Movers. We communicated via WhatsApp and all communication was that the pet should be picked up. I filled out their paper work that was required, and sent through the completed papers via WhatsApp again. I received a booking confirmation stating the drivers name, the type of vehicle that will be used, collection time and delivery time, they even asked what type of food I preferred the dog to be fed. On the day of collection the dog breeder contacted me letting me know that the dog had not yet been collected as it has been an half an hour after collection would have taken place. He also mentioned that it seemed to him that he was blocked on the WhatsApp number that we were told to use. So I tried contacting them from my side also via WhatsApp as this was their preferred manner of communication. Just to find out that I also had been blocked on their WhatsApp number. I then went onto the web to find an email adress for them. The response was quick and mentioned that due to the routing they have to pick up the dog from the location in the Free State bring the dog to Johannesburg and put the dog on a flight to PE and then deliver from there the dog to my location. I was also asked to pay and additional R12000 to have this done. This was unextable to me as this was never what was agreed in the first place. As the paper work never stated air transport, and to me it looked like road transport. All I want is for the amount that I paid to be paid back to me as the dog was never picked up by their courier services.
