I booked a car through CARFLEXI.COM. The booking confirmation stated I will pay R1000 at the desk. When I arrived at 1First Car Rental desk they demanded a deposit of R11500, even though the package included insurance. Then they had to cancel the booking because they didn't accept my credit card type, which was the same card I used to make the online booking and from which the booking was confirmed and the booking fee deducted. I took an Uber to go collect the car and didn't get the car, had to take Uber back home. So I was short changed thrice over, paid booking fee, no car, in vain Uber fees. The car rental suppliers must be held liable for the ****gery by their online booking agencies. Consumers cannot be abused by this online system just because it's based online.
