Caring for a patient that was diagnosed with Schizio-Affective disorder is not easy to say the least. My mom was diagnosed in 2015 with this disorder and I knew that I could not look after her as she needed 24 hour care. After a 2 night stay at MH Vorster Home whilst we waited for a bed at Vista Clininc we decided that this is the home for my mom. It is a private facility with care in a homely enviroment. My mom has been with this Caring Home from March 2016 and I have not regretted it one day, At times she can be very difficult, stubborn, angry and confused but she is not medicated or treated differently. She is cared for with love and respect. Thank you Sr Adele and staff for the love and care that you give to my mom when I am not there. I visit my mom every Saturday and her room is neat (she often wont let anybody in her room but when she goes to shower they take the oppertunity to clean her room), she is fed and well looked after. This is a homely enviroment and highly recommended!
