Terrible Service and **********!!

<p>I am totally shocked with the service I recently recieved from Car Time Hillcrest.</p> <p>My vehicle went in for its 105000km service. The manager contacted me later that day to tell me that the service would cost R10200.00 - this would comprise of a coolant flush, brake fluid flush, a new pollen filter, a new oil pressure switch, replacement of my front arm link rods (which I was told were worn) and the actual service charge. I told them to go ahead with everything except the arm link rods as the price was slightly out of budget for now, and booked it in for the end of June. Two days after the car returned from service, it went into "limp mode". I took the vehicle back to Car Time where they told me my coil pack needed replacing and it was going to cost R5,000.00 to fix. I felt I needed a second opion on the price - so that is what I did. I took the vehicle through to another mechanic who inspected my vehicle and confirmed the coil pack needed replacing. However, it was not going to cost R5,000.00 but R1,437.00!! He also inspected the arm link rods and confirmed that they were fine and that the noise I had been hearing was infact my loose brake pad. He went on to hell me that the brake pad that were fitted to the vehicle (also done by CarTime!!) were infact the wrong size and that is the reasoning behind the noise. It cost me R300.00 to fix this issue where Car Time wanted to charge me R6000 for something non-existent. I also gavemy mechanic the invoice from the service. He went on to tell me (and this was confirmed by the Opel agents) that for a 105000km service, both a coolant flush and brake fluid flush did not need to be done. He also told me that a pollen filter costs roughly R500 where Car Time charged me over R1000. They also charged me R650 for an oil pressure switch that doesnt cost more that R200.</p> <p>I am utterly disghusted with this, as I feel that I have been ********** because I am a female. I can with confidence say that I will not be returning to Car Time again!</p>
