I paid CARtime Umlazi a total of R41,007.50 for comprehensive engine repairs on my 2015 Hyundai Accent (Registration: NUZ19432). The payment covered extensive work including camshaft sensor, front control arms, rack ends, stabilizer links, rear main seal, clutch kit, timing chain kit, new cylinder head, and gasket set replacement. Despite making full payment as per their invoice dated 18/09/2024, CARtime Umlazi has failed to complete the agreed repairs or provide adequate service. The issues include:
Non-completion of paid work - After receiving payment, the workshop has not completed the repairs within reasonable timeframes Poor communication - Limited or no updates on repair progress despite multiple follow-ups Unprofessional service delivery - Failure to honor their service commitments after payment was made Vehicle unavailability - My vehicle remains unusable while I continue to make payments on it
The invoice clearly states work completion terms, yet CARtime has not delivered on their obligations. Their 6-month/10,000km warranty promise is meaningless if they cannot complete basic repair work in a timely manner. I was referred to CARtime by We Buy Cars, who suggested "they are RMI Group," implying reliability and professional standards. However, CARtime's conduct falls far below acceptable industry standards. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, additional transportation costs, and financial strain. I require my vehicle for daily transportation and cannot afford indefinite delays while having already paid substantial amounts.
