"you should have asked for a quote"

Richard, the manager of Car service city Westgate, expects his customers to be mind readers as well. After quoting us over R50 000 for work that had to be done on our engine, of which we agreed to and paid, he now decides to mention that we now need to make an additional payment on an ad hoc loop service that he never quoted. He's not even apologetic just an "Oops I should have mentioned that". Asked why it was not part of the original quote, his response is that "YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR A QUOTE" before adding the cherry on the cake "you can't expect it to be for free". At no point were we expecting anything for free but a little heads up would have been nice. As the manager in the customer service industry, you do not just casually mention how we need to now magically pull out thousands out of a hat on the spot. To me that is just plain PROFESSIONAL NEGLIGENCE!
