FALSE ADVERTISING

Car Service City dropped flyers around Pretoria advertising their services/ sale (i have the flyers). My car was due for service so i saw the flyers and was interested because they said the Major Service starts from R895. My car is a 1.4 so it was a great (or so I thought)

Last Saturday I called the Wonderboom Branch on *** to book in my car for service, i was told that the service starts from R2 400. I asked the receptionist how come on the flyer it’s written that major service starts from R895? She said she doesn’t know but the price on the flyers is not correct, then she transferred me to her ‘boss’. I asked the boss why the flyers say major service starts from R895 but now I’m told a different story. He told me The flyers are printed from Head Office and taxes apply. I asked him if he’s aware that this is false advertising and it’s *******? He said I should take that to Head Office. Why write Major Service starts from R895 but when we call we are told a different story? Is that legal?
