EXTEMLY DISSAPIONTING SERVICE

Hi everyone today i would like to share about the worst experience i did receive from Car service city Springs.I booked my car for inspection and repairs on the 2nd December 2020 at 8h30 i droped the car and the workshop Manager Jan promised to call me after checking and qoute me on the necessary repairs. I did not receive any call until 15h15 when i decided to call them and the manager told me he will call be back in 5minutes.Then he called back a few minutes later and told me they have now found the fault on the car,it ignition packs they must change all four of them to my surprise i told him that is impossible because i changed 2 of them in July and the other 2 in September the he got shocked and asked to go and double check witth the technician.Then he requested that i give them more time because now they think it is the timing.The next day he called after lunch and told me the timing is faulty and he must also repair the gear on the camshaft and told me the cost will be about R9600 i then told them not to go ahead with the repairs i then fetched the car.Last Friday i did buy the MAP sensor and fitted it myself. and the car is fine and running very well.I am so dissapointed with Car service city because i was thinking they are a reputable car workshop.I almost threw 10 000 rands down the drain.Dont know if i can trust them again with my car.
