Car Theft City

Based on other reviews this is not an isolated indecent. So my wife took a car for the previous service. Car Service City Sunning hill stated that the rear disks are worn and are too thin to skim so need to be replaced. We didn't replace them and i put on new break pads myself. Next Service same garage, same disks, now they need skimming, the same disks that were too thin and needed to be replaced.

I didnt get a detailed quote on everything but below is more or less the breakdown:

Service R2300 New Shocks plus labour - R4400 + 990 (Quote from Supa Quick R2700) Engine Sludge Build Up Cleaning - R330 New Front and Rear Brake Pads + disk Skimming = R6583 (Front brakes @ 20%, rear brakes on metal according to mechanics)

Again, we only had the service done and nothing else. So once done and car back at home i check the brakes. Surprise, surprise front brake pads almost looks as new since i replaced them 8 months ago. rear brake pads are maybe at 50%. I'm still not going to replace either the pads or the discs.

Engine sludge was apparently done complimentary, probably because they are afraid that we notice there is none.

Shocks i know needs replacing, and that i will have done at R2700, while car service city charged R5390. That is exactly double. This business oversells as much as possible, and are seems to ***** much more than they service anything. I wonder if i replaced the brake pads, if we would have actually had new pads, or rather just pay for it and get it back with the same pads.

I would stay far away from this business.
