First, I was told they couldn’t continue with my routine service unless I paid an extra R300 for a flush. Then I was told my car needed “this and that,” and suddenly, they claimed they weren’t equipped to complete the service at all.

To make matters worse, the technician stripped my wheel stud and then tried to convince me that I had broken it and would have to pay for the damage. When I questioned him, his response was, “Oh, you’ll be fine, at least it’s not all of them,” followed by laughter.

I had to demand the service report, and when I queried items that had been ticked off—some of which my car doesn’t even have, and others that clearly hadn’t been checked or replaced despite being listed on the quote and website as part of a major service—I was told, “It looked fine, so I didn’t feel it was necessary to replace it.”

This is unacceptable. I will never take my car—or recommend anyone else take theirs—to this place again. I hope a manager or someone at head office sees this because your so-called technician is blatantly taking advantage of customers.

And as for the reception staff—they are completely unhelpful. They have no knowledge about cars or engines yet feel entitled to tell me how mine works.

This whole experience was an absolute joke and a disgrace, further damaging South Africa’s reputation because of individuals who are dishonest and only interested in lining their own pockets.
