Car Service City POOR WORKSMANSHIP, NON-TRANSPARENT, AND A TOTAL RIP-OFF

I have taken my car into Car Service City in July 2018, my car was reported to have had mulfuntioning piston which needed to be replaced. I managed to contact my warranty and one of they names I was given was car service city. I contacted car service city and I was told that the work that I was done will cost be no more than R35 000, which I was happy with because its my warranty cap limit for engine work.

They stripped my car and told me that they normally charge R2 500 for diagnosis and if I decided not to fix it with them, I'm liable for the R2 500. A gentleman b y the name of Sphiwe from Eloff branch came bnack with a quotation, and told me that my car parts are expensive and they actually came to R49 000.

I pleaded with him telling him that its a lot of money, but I later gave him a go ahead, I was liable for the difference. He told me my car will be ready in 2 weeks from the day I accepted the quotation. I kept calling as courtesy just find out how all is going, he started being rude to me, not returning my calls as well.

On the day of collection he told me that the engine parts he bought are not the right size and he is asking for more time to get the right parts, which he got. They car was having a rough idle, it was powerless, could not rev it above 3 000 revs. The car complained about timing, which he did not have the right tools to set it with. I took the car to the manufacturing dealer and they provided a comprehensive report on the all the issues picked up during a diagnosis, I provided the report to him but he felt that the manufacturer(Ford) was wrong and that he did every that was required.

He then started insisting and "thinking" that it is another part and it will cost me R17 000 apprx, and the rest was labour and VAT X2 ,I contacted Ford and they told me that the part is R8000 apprx, and I then contacted Car Service city head office to complain about Sphiwe the manager of Eloff CSC, and we got to an agreement that Its better I buy the part. But I asked cars service city that if the wrong part is bought will they refund me my money. And NO, was the answer I received, meaning I can buy a wrong part and get no reimbur*****t of the part is wrong.

My CAR is still not fixed 10 Months later and R 50 000 later.
