Bad Service and ****'s

Car Service City Brakpan Branch .

I took my Car in for a main crank seal replacement and Paid R5800 for the repairs. It was still leaking the same day after collecting my car. The manager said that they had no time cleaning my car as they were pressed for time and that my car needed some oil so he said that I must just top it up when I get home. I collected my car at knock off time, so it was a rush for everyone to go home. The next day I took my car back again as it was still leaking, and I was told that its old oil running from the engine and must clean it first and then drive it for about 2 weeks. Took my car back again after around 2-3 weeks and after another inspection I was told that the seal is leaking again . After stripping my car again, they said that they will cover all costs as its still under warranty, but I need to pay an additional R4500 for work they had to do extra (Parts). I was not happy with the feedback and then rep**** that No, a mechanic cannot legally change parts on your car without your consent and then bill you for them; this is considered a breach of contract and could be considered *****ulent behaviour, meaning you are not obligated to pay for work not authorized by you. After the heated phone call Car Service City admitted to my Wife Telephonically that when they initially did the job that they didn’t clean the surface properly before installing the seal and this is why it was leaking. I’m sorry but this is *****. They were trying to milk me for more money for a mistake they made and then lie and said it for extra parts on my car but could not specify the parts. The manager admitted that they wanted to charge me R4500 for labour again after a heated confrontation. Car service City was the first place ever opening my motor and I could see the *****driver wedge marks on the surface where the seal was removed from the 1st and second time. That seal needs to be removed by a seal removal tool as *****drivers damages the surface and will cause leaks again. I am not Happy and not happy with the workmanship from Car service city. I collected my car Yesterday on the 11/02/2025 and so far, it looks fine. I’m sorry but your mechanics should know better and your manager with his stories and lies will cause your downfall.
