They stripped the car's engine, conducted a full diagnostic and informed me via a quotation of all the parts replacement and repairs that needed to take place in order to fully overhauled fix the car's engine problems and its water leak problem that caused it to overheat. This amounted to a cost of R38 119</p> <p>2. The cost of the repairs was paid in full.</p> <p>3. They informed me that all the car’s engine problems have been properly fixed, tested, a major service was done and there is a 6-month warranty on any problems.</p> <p>4. I fetched the car and an hour later it exhibited the same problems that made me take it in for repairs. I called Car Service City on the same day to inform them of such and they asked me to take the car in the next day so that they can check and fix the problem.</p> <p>1. The car’s engine and water leak problem were never properly fixed to begin with and the car was not tested thoroughly before it was handed back to me.</p> <p>2. The major service done is in doubt as the car’s oil was very low on its indicator when it should have been full if a major service was done. No Regas was done on the aircon as a result it was not working when the car was handed back. The yellow engine light was still on indicating there is still a problem and the reasons given don’t hold water now that the car broke down again.</p> <p>3. I was told the engine light is on not because there is any fault on the engine anymore and simple because of any oxygen sensor that has nothing to do with the engine. I was given assurance that the engine is working 100% there will be no more problems. As indicated above within an hour of taking the car it gave me engine problems that were the exact same before the car was taken to Car Service city to be fixed.</p> <p>Upon not being convinced they had done a proper job nor had the required s****s to fix the car properly, I offered to take the car to AA simply for a diagnostic to be done and not for the car to be fixed or stripped. A simple computer diagnostic printout that could tell us what was wrong with the car. This would be done to compare the results from what Car Service City said was the problem for my own peace of mind. They refused this second opinion and threated to waive the guarantee if I went for this second opinion even though the car’s engine would not be touched.</p> <p>· Car service city never fixed the engine problems and the water leak problem and it was reckless and inconsiderate of them to hand me back a car in that state after having paid a huge amount of money to have all the replacement part and repairs done properly.</p> <p>· Car service city showed very little regard and urgency for the inconvenience and the financial repercussions caused for handing us back a faulty car that they claimed had been properly fixed. And the associated costs following that of having fully paid for a car that is now not in our possession nor do we know what the reasons for that are.</p> <p>· As of this email, they have not even bothered to call and give me an indication of what is happening, when the problem would be solved and when to expect to have a car that is fixed as they committed to and we paid for.</p>
