Avoid Car Service City Jackal Creek: Quote jumped from R40,000 to R150,000 and they refused to release my car

My experience with this branch was extremely disappointing and stressful. I was initially quoted R40,000 to repair my vehicle. After the car was already in their possession and I had paid a large deposit, the cost suddenly escalated to an additional R110,000 on top of the original quote.

When I questioned this and asked if I could rather collect my car and consider other options, I was refused the release of my own vehicle, despite the fact that I had already paid a deposit. The situation became so difficult that I had to involve my father and legal assistance in order to address the matter.

Throughout this process the service was extremely poor. The manager was rude, dismissive, and undermining, and the overall communication was unprofessional. I also witnessed behaviour toward staff that was uncomfortable and disrespectful.

This was honestly one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The process felt exploitative and deeply frustrating. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before taking their vehicles here, as the experience cost me a great deal of time, money, and stress.
