Absolute shocking service standards
I recently had my vehicle serviced at Car Service City (William Nicol Branch) for just over R13k, and it is not the price that was the issue, it was the poor workmanship that I received for this. Upon receiving my vehicle and going home, there was a knocking noise from the front left wheel as if it had not been fastened correctly - I took the car back only for me to have to call them a few days later for an update in which I was advised they were waiting for quotes to replace my CV joints, but when I got there they admitted they refitted all the wheels and no noise was to be found - but then why try quote me on CV joint replacement? I proceeded to take my vehicle and a few days later noticed my rear left break was making loud scratching noises, just to find out, the break was not fastened correctly and was coming off the break disc, I called the shop and was told to continue driving and bring it in, where all I got was a verbal apology and they took the wheel off and fitted it. Both matters could have resulted in expensive and harmful outcomes, luckily this was not the case, but what I received for the funds provided just shocks me. And lastly, the apparent Uber service provided as per the advertising in-store does not exist anymore, and instead you get to sit in their shocking single cab workshop bakkie for a lift home, it is appalling that these service levels are allowed.
