2 year torture

<p>Car Service City must be avoided at all costs. They are totally ***********, not worried about customer satisfaction and not to be trusted to be professionals at all.</p> <p> </p> <p>From December 2014 until August 2016, we took our Camry to Car Service City Menlyn to fix the overheating and the leaking oil problem. The last time, in August 2016, we were quoted R23 000. We accepted the quote, we paid the quote.</p> <p> </p> <p>When we went to fetch the car, the battery wasn’t charged and the car broke down after 60 km. Problem? Overheating.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Camry was returned to Car Service City Menlyn to fix after the head gasket blew because of overheating after the R23 000 service. They quoted us to fix the damage. Quoted us. They didn’t offer to fix the damage their inefficiency caused, they quoted us. A further R7 000.</p> <p> </p> <p>Car Service City Menlyn and Car Service City Head Office informed us that it is not “reasonable” of us to expect them to pick up the problem. Which they claimed afterwards was the fan relay. It wasn’t. Toyota confirmed that it was working. It was, in fact, a R10 welch plug.</p> <p>The guy who found the overheating problem and fixed it - including the damage done to the head gasket and the outstanding oil leak due to Car City Service City’s R23 000 incompetence, charged us R4 700. The car is now in perfect running condition.</p> <p><br /> Total spent at Car Service City, over two years, R41 000 to get back an oil leaking, overheating car that broke down after 60 km.</p>
