I took my car to car service city Randburg as my engine light was burning . They told me it was a small issue and quoted me R 6000. Being few days before Christmas I gave go ahead. When I collected my car fromcar service city Randburg ,I asked if car was ok to do a planned long distance trip,I was assured by the technician it was fine. I left garage and the light was still on. I took it back and they adjusted the light. Next morning my car would not start. I called car service city Randburg and was told not to drive the vehicle and,they would send a quote to repair the reason it would not start. This quote was for just short of R20000.00,they told me they could only help in the new year. In the new year I had car towed tocar service city Randburg they then started working on it. I then got a call to say the parts they originally quoted me on were the wrong parts and the new parts would cost an extra R16000.00. I gave them a name of a contact for parts and after few days they came back with an additional quote of,R600.00 , the original quote to fix it not starting was to replace the timing belt. After they had the car for a while they called me to say the valves were bent and it would cost me an extra R16000.00. I refused point blank and made arrangements for car to be,towed to another workshop. Beforecar service city Randburg would release my car I had to pay R20000.00. The car is at the new workshop and,they have quoted me a 3rd of what car service city Randburg quoted me they also maintain there was no need to replace the timing belt. My advice is stay as far away fromcar service city Randburg as possible unless you have a lot of spare cash lying around
