Car Hire Brokers left their clients stranded

I would like to warn anyone against this company. We booked and paid for a vehicle throught them in Feb'22 for pick-up in Jun'22. When we came to Enterprise Ireland where we had to collect the vehicle from they would not accept our valid INTERNATIONAL licence and refused to rent us a vehicle. Although this (Required driver's license [At least 11 years seniority in license required for groups SVMR, FVMR and FVAR. 8 years seniority for all other groups]) was the only requirement on their voucher to us. Enterprise Ireland said they could not refund us as CHB was in possession of our money and we have to arrange with them for a refund. We were stranded and out of despiration as it was after hours and we could not get hold of CHB we went to the very next car hire place next door to the one that refused us and they were just to Happy to help us with exactly the same drivers licence. Sixt gave us amazing service. We had to spend another R19k to get a vehicle to continue with our holiday and travels through Ireland. We have received no communication for CHB in this, although our travel agent has been trying on a weekly basis to get some kind of indication when we will be refunded. It seems they are trying to keep quiet and hoping we would just go away as they have not even tried to communicate
