Unprofessional conduct by the Company’s mechanic

I’m writing this with serious disgust and disappointment. I have a mechanic I contacted through google search who calls himself Benjamin Mwale and he operates by a company name called Car Doctor!

He contacted him to resolve a car problem with my small car a Nissan Micra. My first problem is that even the day I appointed with him on 1 May 2021 I spent the whole day at home waiting for him and he never showed up as he had promised.

He finally came 2 May 2021.

He worked on the car and suggested we deal with the computer box. I gave him the computer box which he took to ECU for assessment. He says they said water went into it. He said also that he would sort that problem himself with his team. I did not disagree because my interest is to resolve the problem. He obviously had to wait for a week because the person at ECU who deals with my type car was on leave. The person was supposed to return around 11 May thereabouts. I had contact Benjamin on Wednesday to day any luck, you are quiet and I expected to hear from you on a Tuesday or latest Wednesday. Then he tells me it was done.

Unfortunately that whole week around 13 May I fell ill so I told him to wait.

When he was supposed to come on a Saturday 22 May 2021 and he said around 12pm and he finally arrived at 15:48 hours.

He sent me his invoice on 24 May 2021 after we tested the car and it was no longer switching off at every slowing down or stopping at robots. I advised him that I was travelling out of town on 25th and only returning on 28th May. On return board Benjamin his invoice of more than R3000. The week of early June a friend advised me to drive a bit of a longer distance to see if the problem is really gone. I did go as far as about 10-15km and it started switching off again. I told Benjamin tht the problem is still there. It’s not gone. At this point it was actually worse.at attempting to resolve my headlamp problems they also must have disturbed some wiring because it was always on at the park lights even when the ignition was off. We then appointed for Benjamin to return on 5 May 2021. He did not come nor call to apologise. He finally showed up at my place at 8am and calls me and says I am at the gate? What? What on earth?

I need someone to drum in the ears of this guy tht this is unprofessional. You don’t show up at peoples place at the wrong time with no appointment. Security is calling me that there is someone by your gate! I told them I don’t have an appointment to see anyone. I finally came out to tell Benjamin tht I had just slept early hours of the morning and just started to catch my sleep why are you doing this?

This is soooooo disappointing and unbelievable of a mechanic who is on google advertising to everyone and yet so unprofessional.

He is the issue. I have paid this guy and my problem is still with me. They resolved it and it ran for few hours and it is not back to s Jare one. Reading from his conduct of not keeping promises even when I have kept mine he needs to look closely at his matter of working.

I’m at pains to explain to Benjamin that he can not come to my place when he wants. He must come at appointed times. He is adamant that he had to see and sort my car on Sunday because he had finally showed up. He then states that because I’m not compensating there is nothing wrong with my car!
