Service Centre that acts with integrity and goes the extra mile

In my experience it is very seldom that you get a vehicle service centre that acts with integrity. These businesses usually take short cuts, using old parts or using inferior parts, or just placing a bandage on the problem, not fixing it, only to find out a month later that they siliconed the leak or something similar but charged you as if they fixed it with new parts.

I replaced my 2004 VW Touran’s engine as it already had done 338000km with a “grey import engine” as overhauling the original would be too pricy especially using original parts. The clutch was also replaced with a new one and it turned out that the engine did not perform as it should. It turned out to be the turbo and that too had to be overhauled. Tom van Wyk went the extra mile to hand me back a vehicle that performed as it should have and took on charges for his own account to honor his word. No short cuts taken and my vehicle is running like a new one.

I can recommend Car Doctor and Tom van Wyk, especially to those people who are not so clued up mechanically – You will get what you paid for. If they said it was a problem then you be assured that is was and that it fixed.
