Appalling service Ormonde Branch

I took my vehicle to Ormonde branch and advised that ther was a problem with my starter. It was making a noise . I advise that the vehicle had a warranty plan and the should submit claim to said company. The lady who booked the vehicle told me no problem. A quote for R15 000. 00 was submitted to replace the starter (i did not want a new engine). This was without doing any tests on the unit. The warranty covered 4k. I would have to fork out the balance. . The lady then told me that they will strip and inspect the starter but I will be liable for the labour (R 2 700.00). as they will need to check what parts need to be replaced. I told them not to go ahead. When I went to collect the vehicle i had to pay R 513.00 for the 62 point test. WHAT TEST when the problem was evident. This branch has the most *********** people working here. The price of a new starter from a reputable company is R 1300.00. She was surprised when I gave her the company details and asked her to confirm the price. Bottom line I had to pay R513.00 for nothing being done. These guys are ripping the public. FYI this week I took the vehicle to an independant auto electrician and he serviced the starter for R640.00. no issues with starter now
