Waiter got the wrong order- no apology

Yesterday (18 Feb), my friend and I went to Cappuccino's for dinner. She is hindu and vegetarian and I am muslim. So we ordered a vegetarian pizza and cheese and jelepino quesadillas. We frequent cappuccinos in Brooklyn and the one in Menlyn often, so we know they have delicious vegetarian options for us.

Our waiter (I cannot remember his name!), brought our drinks and food promptly- we were pleased as we were famished. Upon digging into the quesadillas, I tasted something smokey and saw the pink pieces of bacon. As a muslim I was so upset- pork is prohibited in my religion. We called the waiter and asked that he please remove this from our table, bring us new cutlery and plates and since we are put off but still hungry, bring us crumbed mushrooms instead of quesadillas- no bacon can be mixed in the mushrooms, it was a safe bet!

The waiter never uttered one word in apology- nothing. He never brought the side plates or cutlery, we had to get up and get from surrounding tables.

A gentleman named Promise, probably management as he was not in an overall, came over to apologise for the mishap- but no compensation was offered.

Utterly disappointed. I am certain we won't be returning
