Cold food

Due to personal reasons I'm not keen on supporting the local Cappuccino's, but on Saturday, 23 May 2015 me and my hubby decided to visit them for breakfast anyway. The venue looked ok and we saw that it was a buffet breakfast. No problem with that either. We started moving along the serving area and when I got to the potato bowl, it was cold although it was standing on a hot plate. I enquired why the potatoes were cold and the lady then removed it from the counter. After a while she returned with the bowl and placed it where it previously had been. She then told me that the hot plate wasn't working. If the hot plate doesn't work, why then put food on it? If an appliance doesn't work, DON't put food on it. Defective equipment in such an environment is unacceptable. Another lady did come to our table and when I asked her about this, she said that the equipment has been out of order for a week now and that they were waiting for people from Johannesburg to come and fix it. Once again, if it's broken, then don't use it and inform customers
