Exploitation amid democratic South Africa.

Having worked at Cappello Wine & Dine Welkom I had the vile experience ever that I won't even wish it on my worst enemy because of it's owners. I'm one of the very first team that helped the brand establishment in town but ended up leaving the place without any benefits. The level of exploitation tgere was sickening, none of us former employees were either registered with Department of Labour and/or saw ourselves being a place that comp**** with any labour related matters.

Being exposed to the face of dealing with broader clientele was worth one's personal capacity but the treatment from the owners was rottto the core. I spent my time with the company from 17th November 2017 till mid 2020 during COVID-19 pandemic because I was forced to make a decision on a personal conviction and choose my mental health.

It is really sad having to learn that there are still employers who don't care about their employees but expect to soar from their sweat. Cappello Welkom owners are ineptitude and morally repugnant with no sense of contrition whatsoever.

Even after seeking different avenues seeking mediation through Department of Labour Relations intervention. We are still sitting here with nothing after many years of generating revenue for the company. I pray that one day all those parties that were involved in our detriment are held accountable.
