<p> </p> <p>I was interested in buying a used BMW from CAW and have spoken to LEON ( ********** ).</p> <p>Leon requested me to forward my completed finance application to MFC (Nedbank) - which I have done on 19 December 2016 at 03:35 PM. He told me that he would attend to it IMMEDIATELY and that I will have a reply by latest 09:00 the following day.</p> <p> </p> <p>Since I have not heard from Leon by 11:20 AM the following day, I sent him an e-mail asking if he's had any feedback from MFC as yet. Immediately after receiving my e-mail, Leon responded as follows :</p> <p>"It has been declined at this stage but we are speaking to our guys at the bank to see if we can get it approved."</p> <p> </p> <p>Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY shocked !!!!!!!!!!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>I then jumped all over MFC and basically attacked them for declining my application and DEMANDED a reason from them.</p> <p> </p> <p>BUT, my shock transformed into ABSOLUTE DISGUST upon receiving MFC's reply.</p> <p> </p> <p>CAPITAL AUTO WORLD (LEON) has NEVER even submitted an application to MFC !!!!!!</p> <p>What a **** you are, LEON !!!!!!!!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>If you don't want to do business with the PUBLIC, rather SAY SO !!!!!!!!!!!! We refer to your recent post on Hello Peter. The application was loaded on the 19th of December and was declined by MFC as well as all the other banks.
The 2008 BMW on our floor is available for you till the 31st of December 2016, should you be able to get finance, CAW is in business to do business.
An email from our F&I will be sent to your personal email address with all the documentation confirming this. Should you authorise CAW, we will gladly post all references for you on Hello Peter.
I hereby request that you retract your allegations against CAW and their staff as management will look into taking this matter further for slandering our company name.

Even though I made it VERY CLEAR to LEON that he MUST NOT submit any applications to ANY OTHER bank EXCEPT MFC - LEON DISREGARDED my wish (INSTRUCTIONS) and (according to NATALIE's e-mail) proceeded to do applications with the other banks too. More often than not, we, as the public, DO KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT and DO know WHY we INSTRUCT you, the dealer, NOT to do certain things. UNDERSTATING an applicant's income by R80,000.00 AND declaring ALL expenses on ONLY ONE spouse's application when THAT couple is MARRIED IN COMMUNITY OF PROPERTY and share RESPONSIBILITY of ALL debts on a 50/50 basis. That WILL have a NEGATIVE balance and WILL result into that applicant's DISPOSABLE INCOME being a NEGATIVE figure. Thus being declined : “Negative cash flow” or in layman's terms : YOU CANNOT AFFORD THIS !!!
LEON, don't you EVER check your calculations BEFORE sending an application through to the banks ?????????????????

After I discussed (sent LEON the photo's and settlement agreement with MFC) the trade-in I had at that time, Kia Sportage (now SOLD), LEON agreed on a trade-in value of R68,000.00 which was NOT even stated on ANY of the finance applications ... WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO MY MFC SETTLEMENT AND DEPOSIT IN THE END ????????????????????????
FURTHERMORE, to top it all :
I was interested in a SPECIFIC vehicle (price being : R129,900.00 - previously listed at R119,900.00 (offer ended on 2016/12/16)).
I made 100 % sure that LEON knows EXACTLY which vehicle it is by sending him the CORRECT link on http://www.automart.co.za via e-mail. However, LEON'S application was for R139,900.00 --- OVERSTATED by R10,000.00. Is that INCOMPITENCE or does CAW always INFLATE their VEHICLE PRICES by an ADDITIONAL R10,000.00 PLUS extras of R11,578.94 ??????????????? DO NOT refer to this as a MISTAKE. You deem yourselves to be PROFESSIONALS. PROFESSIONALS make 100 % sure that they DO NOT stuff up on such a HUGE scale !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just as a MATTER OF FACT, MFC APPROVED the following applications :
Honda East Rand Mall --- vehicle at R149,990.00 (with R0.00 deposit)
Eastvaal Motors --- vehicle at R165,000.00 (with R0.00 deposit)
These two applications were APPROVED for MUCH higher amounts.
Because THEIR applications were done with the CORRECT information !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT --- CAW's applications were ALL declined, why ??????????????????? INCORRECT INFORMATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Yolande for "trying" to resolve this matter amicably.
However, I have decided NOT to proceed with this matter, for personal reasons.
Although not without heartaches, headaches and many other aches, have I, in the meantime, become the proud owner of a 2011 BMW, financed through MFC !
May we all learn from our mistakes and grow from our misfortunes.
We are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it ...
