Very disappoint of how Creditors judge for you for debt older than 10 years .
I had a loan with Capfin 2012 and I paid it off the same year but because it was handed over for only 3 months because I could not pay it as I was not working cause I was retrenched at work . but as soon as I got UIF I paid it off and Now they are telling me I cant apply for a loan because of that . I mean its been 13 years . I mean so other times its not our fault we lose our jobs and we cant pay our bills but for Company to still keep your records as a bad payer even when account was paid off the same year is totally unfair. we are being judged even years later of how our financial situations were. Very disappointing I must say.

10 Oct 2025, 10:17I have just received a phone call from one of the reps from the above company, to actually tell me nothing, I feel that call was a waste of my time and hers. Having said concluded that they keep your records forever as they do not have a time frame as to when an account goes on Rehabilitaion and for how long finding this very ********* and unfair. Noral company standard is 5 years but other Companies can take 7 years but 13 years is ridiculous and you know what makes me angry is that you keep sending me pre approval messages to come tell me that we cant assist because of the loan you had with us that was paid off in such a quick time after it was handed over 13 years ago. I would suggest that you flag a person on all platforms of marketing communication or whatever you call it if you know you will never ever assist them , Very poor business practice .
