I have had a loan with Capfin prior which has been paid up. Due to a late payment from one of my major clients due to a glitch in their accounts department, I decided to approach Capfin again to cover school fees in the interim. After being shunted around for over a week, I discovered today via one of their consultants that although I am self employed and have been for over 20 years and have numerous clients, as does every business, only the payment from one source on my bank statement may be used as verification of income. So If I have 10 regular clients who each pay me R10 000.00 per month, a total of R50 000.00 per month, they are trying to tell me that they can only submit R10 000.00 as my income per month. If so, what's the purpose of 3 months bank statements?
Also then they need to advertise that only salaried employees need apply and that they discriminate against self employed persons.
Thank you
