Not Clever People

I app**** for a small loan, online, which was provisionally approved. They then phoned me and told me I qualify for a R7 000 loan but I needed to send 3 months payslips and bank statements which I did. I then received a phone call from a "consultant" and we went through my income and expenses. While we going through the income and expenses I was told my average salary was R5400 even though they could see that I had started my job on 25/08/17 which meant I only got a weeks salary for August. Sept and Oct was as per normal. She then started with expenses saying according to ITC my deductions were R4000 which was correct and that my living expenses were R1200. I stopped her there because 4000 + 1200 = 5200 and according to them I would not be able to repay the loan. She then asked if I had any additional income which I do, R4000 per month which shows on my bank statements every single month. She then proceeded to tell me she cannot use that as they cannot verify it, even though its on my statements. I then asked why she even asked for additional income and she they have to because it law, I asked again what the point was and she couldnt answer me. I then asked her to cancel the application as I didn't want a decline on my clean credit record. About 2 hours later I got another phone call and asked if we could proceed so I thought I would this lady, a different "consultant" this time and it was exactly the same story. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no it wouldn't make any difference. I came to realise that these "consultants" have no idea and obviously have no authority to issue a loan, they work from a crib sheet. the 2 I spoke didn't know how to basic Maths, 1 + 1 =2 , they had no idea. How my average salary can be what they it is is beyond me and why ask for additional income when they cannot use. Incompetence was the order of the day and never again, never again.

Well I got a reply phone call from Capfin and it seems common sense had been thrown out the window and they have the cheek to say please apply again. I also received 2 sms's asking me to reply yes. The lady even asked me, what can Capfin do to recify this, I said give me the loan, and the reply was we cannot, so again why ask the question when you know what the answer is going to be. Also I was told over and over, " I hear what you saying but" Apparently theres no one who works there that can override the system and that cannot be correct. Its just a system and all systems, no matter what or where they can be overridden. No point in dealing with companies who have employees who have no common sense at all.
